For this substantial, gastronomic book rich in literary quotes, I opted for an airy layout punctuated by highly graphic and playful illustrations: the chapter openers feature large sausages of various sizes and shapes, the epigraphs and quotes are underlined with friezes of small sausages, and the texts and recipes are illustrated with animals, utensils, and ingredients.
